❤️ My Mom

Before I ever stepped into a classroom, education was already part of my life because of my mom.

She worked as a teaching assistant for many years, and growing up, I watched the care, patience, and dedication she brought to the children she worked with. Looking back now, I see that many of the values that guide my work today began with her.

Even after losing her, her influence continues to guide both my life and my work.

Her legacy lives on in every educator I have the privilege of support.

One of the most meaningful pieces I've ever written is called My Mother's Shadow.

It tells the story of growing up watching my mom, unknowingly following in her footsteps, and eventually realizing that the path I chose had been shaped by her all along.

In many ways, Tiny Learning Town is my way of honoring everything she taught me.
